Pakistan’s wicket keeper and opener Mohammad Rizwan, who shone with his brilliant performance on opening match against India in World Cup t20 has come out in support of Indian pacer Mohammad Shami.

Rizwan, on social media , defended Shami after the latter was abused and sidelined by some Indian social media users, branding him as traitor for having not been able to take wickets against Pakistan.

The kind of pressure, struggles and sacrifices a player has to go through for his country and his people is immeasurable . Shami is a star and indeed of the best bowlers in the world.

Please respect your stars. This game should bring people together and not divide them, said Rizwan.
