3 Held in Fake Currency Racket Scam in Budgam District
In a shocking case of fake currency racket, the police have arrested three persons in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police have also recovered fake currency notes amounting to Rs 45,000.
Taufeeq Hussain Khawaja, the accused driver was taken into custody and later on two of his associates, involved in running the fake currency scam in the market, were also nabbed.

Khawaja has confessed to being a part of the racket and running the illegal task at his house at Baliharan Singhpora Baramulla. A raid was carried out at his house, during which two printers, one paper cutter, two reams of bond paper, one mobile phone and 10 bond paper sheets with Rs 100 denomination fake currency notes were recovered,” he said.
His two accomplices have been identified as Farooq Ahmad Ganaie and Abdul Hamid Ganaie. They were also shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody, the spokesman added.
