Amshipora Fake Encounter Case: Army Captain to Be Court Marshalled

After the court found that the troops had exceeded The use of powers rendered under the AFSPA ,  Army has initiated general court-martial proceedings against a captain for the killing of three men in Amshipora fake encounter case in south Kashmir in July 2020.

The three residents from the Rajouri district of the Jammu region identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed, Abrar Ahmed and Mohammed Ibrar, were killed in a remote hilly village in the Shopian district on July 18, 2020, and labeled as “terrorists”.



“The court-martial proceedings were then initiated against Captain Bhoopendra Singh,” they said.
